How To Buy For Your New Lingerie Retail Store

A quick guide by Mercedes Gonzalez in narrowing down the types of product you might want to sell in your store.

One thing I left out about "if you can carry the product" are the minimums the brand might ask you to buy. One high end lingerie company won't sell to you unless you can buy $10k a season....which to many boutiques is half their budget.

Don't let the brands bully you. You know what sells and what won't in your store better than anyone.

Before you open your store it's a good idea to be able to visit a trade show, not only to see what products and price points are out there but to also be inspired.
Keep in mind that your store will always be developing and changing. Gap used to only sell Levi jeans and sweatshirts and A&F was an out door camping store.
Don't forget we offer a full day class on Retailing.
