Successful Lingerie Shop in New Rochelle, NY
Craftform, is a specialty lingerie shop in New Rochelle, NY, opened in 1970. In business for over 30 years, this video interviews owner Esther Elstein as she talks about her specialty of helping women who have had mastectomies, by customizing bras to accommodate prostheses.
Esther talks about how she got into the lingerie business, her training, prior work experience, opening the store in 1970. She discusses her customer card file, explains what insurance companies and Medicare covers (e.g. 4 specialty bras per year and one prosthesis per year) and her book of deliveries to customers.
